Καλαμπόκας Δ. Παύλος

Σπουδές: Γεννήθηκε στο Κουτσελιό Ιωαννίνων. Σπούδασε στο Πανεπιστήμο Αθηνών (πτυχίο Φυσικού, 1983) και στο Πανεπιστήμιο PARIS VII, Γαλλία (Μεταπτυχιακό Δίπλωμα “D.E.A” 1984 και Διδακτορικό “Diplome de Doctorat” 1987 στη Χημεία της Ρύπανσης της Ατμόσφαιρας και Φυσική Περιβάλλοντος,  με υποτροφία του Κοινωφελούς Ιδρύματος «Αλέξανδρος Ωνάσης»).

Μεταδιδακτορική Έρευνα – Διδασκαλία: Διετέλεσε Μεταδιδακτορικός Ερευνητής στα Ινστιτούτα Ρυπανθέντων Ατμοσφαιρών και Εφηρμοσμένης Φυσικοχημείας του Ερευνητικού Κέντρου  KFA-JUELICH (Γερμανία, 1987-90), στο Εργαστήριο Μετεωρολογίας, Τομέας Φυσικής Εφαρμογών του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών (1991-94) και στο Εργαστήριο Περιβαλλοντικών Ερευνών του ΕΚΕΦΕ Δημόκριτος (1994-96). Εργάστηκε επίσης ως Καθηγητής στη Μέση Εκπαίδευση (1992-94) και στα ΙΕΚ-Πειραιά, Τμήμα Ελέγχου Ρύπανσης (1993-96).    

Ακαδημία Αθηνών: Το 1996 εξελέγη και διορίστηκε ως Εντεταλμένος Ερευνητής στο Κέντρο Ερεύνης Φυσικής της Ατμόσφαιρας και Κλιματολογίας της Ακαδημίας Αθηνών, προήχθη σε Κύριο Ερευνητή το 2000 και Διευθυντή Ερευνών το 2005. Από το 2011 είναι Διευθύνων του Κέντρου. Εργάστηκε επίσης ως Προσκεκλημένος Ερευνητής στο Ινστιτούτο Περιβάλλοντος και Αειφορίας του Κοινού Κέντρου Ερευνών της Ευρωπαϊκής Επιτροπής (EC-JRC Ispra, Ιταλία), με 12-μηνη Ερευνητική άδεια από την Ακαδημία Αθηνών (2014).

Ερευνητικά Ενδιαφέροντα: Η ερευνά του εστιάζεται σε θέματα φυσικοχημείας της ατμόσφαιρας, τοπικής και περιφερειακής φωτοχημικής ατμοσφαιρικής ρύπανσης, καθώς και στην επίδραση της ατμοσφαιρικής κυκλοφορίας και λοιπών κλιματικών παραμέτρων στις διακυμάνσεις του όζοντος στην τροπόσφαιρα και το οριακό στρώμα, με ιδιαίτερη έμφαση στην περιοχή της Μεσογείου και στην αστική περιοχή των Αθηνών.

Δημοσιεύσεις: Έχει δημοσιεύσει περισσότερες από 160 εργασίες σε Διεθνή Επιστημονικά Περιοδικά με κριτές,  σε Πρακτικά και Ανακοινώσεις Διεθνών Συνεδρίων, Τεχνικές Εκθέσεις ερευνητικών προγραμμάτων καθώς και λοιπές σχετικές δημοσιεύσεις. Έχει συμμετάσχει σε 60 Διεθνή Επιστημονικά Συνέδρια και είναι Κριτής δημοσιεύσεων σε 15 Διεθνή Επιστημονικά Περιοδικά.     

Λοιπές Επιστημονικές Δραστηριότητες: Μέλος Επιστημονικών Επιτροπών Διεθνών Συνεδρίων. Κριτής Ερευνητικών Προγραμμάτων χρηματοδοτούμενων από την Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση, την Ελλάδα και την Κύπρο. Μέλος Επιστημονικών Επιτροπών στη Δημόσια Διοίκηση σχετιζόμενων με θέματα προστασίας περιβάλλοντος. Μέλος Εξεταστικών Επιτροπών Μεταπτυχιακών και Διδακτορικών φοιτητών σε Πανεπιστήμια της Ελλάδας και της Μάλτας καθώς επίσης και μέλος Επιτροπών Κρίσης για την προαγωγή Ερευνητών και Καθηγητών Πανεπιστημίου σε διάφορα Ελληνικά Ερευνητικά Κέντρα και Πανεπιστήμια.
